These spirited entrepreneurs literally marketed their products out of the trunks of their cars. They drove from town to town visiting local food stores and wholesale grocery warehouses. Before long Montana Ranch canned beef began appearing in stores throughout Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Washington.
The uniqueness of the product and its leadership led to a lot of publicity and word-of-mouth promotion. To accommodate the rapid growth, the women developed a mail order business that soon found them shipping cases of canned beef to all 50 states and numerous overseas locations.
The success of the venture was exciting, but the demands of the business took the women away from what they cherished most - their families and life on the ranch. They began to downsize the operation and returned to ranch life. But they kept the brand name and never lost their appreciation for “pure beef”.

We still work, live, and raise our families in a Western setting that thrives on traditions and a shared respect for our neighbors, our land, our animals, and our customers.
